Artist: Greg Olsen - Confidant

My Mommy and Me ` Pamela Lawson

My Mommy went to Heaven today
My daddy told me I could talk to her
Every time I pray
But I am not sure, if God would
get her for me.

My daddy told me I can talk to her everyday
And no matter where I am she will be around
And she will hear me loud and clear
Just like she could when she was here.

My Daddy told me if I fell, or if I cried
All I would have to do is say her name
And here she would be
Embracing me with her new pair of wings.

My Daddy told me when he looks at me
I resemble my Mommy in so many ways
My hair, my nose, my eyes
Even the way I walk and talk.

I told my Daddy I wish she would have stayed
I don't like having her far away
My daddy began to cry saying
he wished the same.

Together, he and I prayed
And told my Mommy about our day
My Daddy got all choked up
I told him it was okay
Mommy knows how it is we feel.

All of a sudden it started to rain
My Daddy told me it was my Mommy
Shedding her tears one last time
Cuz she can feel our pain.

I  said one last prayer
Before my doll and I went bed
I told my Mommy I loved her
And we would see her again.

But until then, every day and night
It would be me, giving her a call.
