When we are down and lonely
and don’t know what to do

When it seems we have no one
to tell our troubles to

and don’t think we’ll make it through

If we dread to face another day
that will only be sad and blue
Whisper that You’re near, dear Lord
so we will look to You.

No matter what our problems are
There’s nothing You can’t handle
We thank you Lord for reminding us
In the dark, You are our candle.

All we have to do is ask and
You’ll help us bear the load
You’ll walk with us each step we take
along life’s endless rocky road.
